> ## Agent Instructions
> The PyPI package is graphifyy, with two y's. The command is graphify.
> /graphify . is typed in an assistant chat, not in a shell.
> Use only commands, flags, and endpoints shown on these pages. Do not invent one.
> Choose the surface before you open a page. Local is the graphifyy package on the machine: the skill, the CLI, and the ten-tool MCP. Its pages are the Guides and Reference tabs, /mcp/ (except /mcp/docs-search, which is for both), and the Local skill group in Integrations. Cloud (Graphify Cloud) is the hosted workspace and https://api.graphify.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP, OAuth, no API key). Its pages are the Graphify Cloud tab (/platform/) and the Cloud MCP group in Integrations. Concepts, troubleshooting, pricing, and /platform/local-to-cloud apply to both. Each page's source frontmatter records this as surface: local, cloud, or both. Buildkite is the CI integration.
> In llms.txt, tell the surface from the page path. Cloud: /platform/ and /integrations/ cloud, vscode, jetbrains, chatgpt, openclaw, vercel, other-agents, buildkite. Local: /guides/, /reference/, /mcp/overview, /mcp/shared-http, /installation, /quickstart, and /integrations/ claude-code, cursor, codex, gemini-cli, copilot, other-assistants. Everything else applies to both.
> The docs changelog summarizes selected graphifyy releases. The current package version is on PyPI (https://pypi.org/project/graphifyy/). The full history is https://graphify.com/changelog.
> The official site is https://graphify.com. These docs are https://docs.graphify.com.
> The local MCP server is the ten tools in the MCP tool reference and reads a graph on the machine. The hosted server is https://api.graphify.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP, OAuth, no API key). The VS Code, JetBrains, OpenClaw, Vercel, and Other Cloud agents pages, and the page ChatGPT, Codex, and Dots, use the hosted server, not the ten-tool list. Other local assistants is the local skill for clients without their own page. The page titled Graphify with Codex is the local skill.
> Read https://docs.graphify.com/llms.txt, then open one page's .md link. Use https://docs.graphify.com/llms-full.txt only when one page is not enough.

# Graphify Cloud in 5 minutes

> Sign in, index a GitHub repository, and ask your coding agent about it through the hosted MCP server.

This page gets you started with Graphify Cloud, the hosted version of Graphify. We run it for you, so there's nothing to deploy. It indexes your GitHub repositories, builds the graph and a wiki for each one, and serves them to your coding agent over a hosted MCP server. There is nothing to install on your machine either.

You need a GitHub account with access to the repository and a coding agent that supports MCP. If you'd rather keep the graph on your machine, use Graphify Local, the open-source `graphifyy` package, with the [local quickstart](https://docs.graphify.com/quickstart.md).

> [!NOTE]
>
> If you are an agent, read [Notes for agents](https://docs.graphify.com/for-agents.md) before these steps.

## 1. Sign in

Open the console, the web UI at [app.graphify.com](https://app.graphify.com), and sign in. You land on **Overview**. It may ask **What would you like to do first?** You can pick an option or skip it, since the steps below cover the same ground.

## 2. Connect GitHub

Go to **Repositories** and click **Add GitHub repositories**, then grant the Graphify GitHub App access to the repositories you want. You can also connect from **Connectors → Integrations**.

Connected repositories show up as **Paused** and **Not indexed**. That's expected, because nothing is indexed until you choose to.

## 3. Index a repository

Find the repository, open its **…** menu, and switch on **Indexing**. This queues the first build. You can also click **Index** next to a repository card on **Overview**.

On **Free**, you can index up to 3 repositories. **Pro** and **Teams** have no repository cap. On **Teams**, repositories and Google Drive sources are shared with everyone in the workspace. Switch workspaces from the switcher at the top of the sidebar. See [Plans and pricing](https://docs.graphify.com/pricing/overview.md).

Follow the run on **Builds**. When it finishes, the repository's status changes to **Indexed**.

## 4. Look at the graph and wiki

Open **Graphs** to explore the repository's nodes and their most connected areas. Then open **Wiki**, which writes an article for each area of the repository automatically. **Memory** lets you ask or search across what Graphify knows.

![Single repository graph with node counts, the canvas, and the most connected areas](https://mintcdn.com/graphify-labs-inc/wfLlPvUZ6a7ZbEFO/images/console/graph.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=wfLlPvUZ6a7ZbEFO\&q=85\&s=cb3a7013d7ed85b94eb7fb04993a3009)

## 5. Connect your agent

Go to **Connectors → MCP**. The wizard has three steps: **Choose agent**, **Connect**, and **Try a query**. It writes setup steps for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, VS Code, and many more agents (open **Browse all agents** for the full list).

You can also add the server yourself. Each agent takes one line or one config entry:

```bash Claude Code theme={null}
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user graphify https://api.graphify.com/mcp
```

```bash Codex theme={null}
codex mcp add graphify --url https://api.graphify.com/mcp
codex mcp login graphify
```

```json VS Code (.vscode/mcp.json) theme={null}
{
  "servers": {
    "graphify": { "type": "http", "url": "https://api.graphify.com/mcp" }
  }
}
```

```text Any MCP client theme={null}
Name: graphify
URL:  https://api.graphify.com/mcp   (Streamable HTTP)
```

The first connection opens an OAuth sign-in. There is no API key to paste. If you don't know how to configure your agent, click **Copy quick-start prompt** and paste it into the agent. It adds Graphify, walks you through sign-in, and runs a first query.

![Connectors MCP tab on Choose agent, with Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor](https://mintcdn.com/graphify-labs-inc/wfLlPvUZ6a7ZbEFO/images/console/connectors.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=wfLlPvUZ6a7ZbEFO\&q=85\&s=d7e946bdc3e31d84f437ec100bb4a053)

Agent-specific guides: [VS Code](https://docs.graphify.com/integrations/vscode.md), [JetBrains](https://docs.graphify.com/integrations/jetbrains.md), [ChatGPT](https://docs.graphify.com/integrations/chatgpt.md), [OpenClaw](https://docs.graphify.com/integrations/openclaw.md), [Vercel](https://docs.graphify.com/integrations/vercel.md), and [any other MCP client](https://docs.graphify.com/integrations/other-agents.md).

## 6. Run a first task

Under **Get your first useful result** on the same page, click **Copy first task** and paste it into your agent. Or ask in your own words:

```text theme={null}
Using Graphify, explain what this repository does, trace one main entry point, and show the files involved.
```

The answer cites source locations from the indexed graph. Open them to check. For help reading the answer, see [Read a result](https://docs.graphify.com/platform/read-a-result.md).

## If something looks wrong

| Symptom | Fix |
| - | - |
| A banner says **Your agent is pointed at a different workspace** | Click **Point my agent at *workspace name*** on the banner, or switch to the workspace your agent uses. |
| The agent asks for an API key | The server uses OAuth. Check the URL is `https://api.graphify.com/mcp`. |
| You only see ten local tools | That connection reads a local graph file. Add the hosted URL above instead. |
| The agent says there are no repositories | Wait for **Indexed** on **Repositories**, or set a default repository in **Connectors → MCP**. |

More fixes are in [When you're stuck](https://docs.graphify.com/platform/when-stuck.md).
